Department of Statistics and Computer Applications.The Department of Statistics and Computer Applications (formerly named as Statistics and Mathematics) came into existence in the year 1989. As per the V DeansCommittee, In UG programme the department is offering three courses for B. Sc (Hons) Agriculture with 6 credits like SMCA 101 (Elementary Mathematics), SMCA 201(Statistical Methods) and SMCA 301 (Agricultural Informatics) in first, second and third years respectively.
In PG programme, the department is offering two courses with 6 credits like STAT 502 (Statistical Methods for Applied Sciences), STAT 512 (Experimental Designs) for firstand second semesters respectively of first year.
The department is having well equipped computer lab with 24 computers for thepractical purpose of Agricultural Informatics.
